Within Fashion, there seems to be a resurgence in the fascination with all things Gothic. From Haute Couture to Street Style, many new permutations and hybrids have appeared. These new explorations have shaped the fashion industry, with many designers embracing the darker side of our existence through their recent collections.

Although explorations of the Gothic are not new, this chapter will propose that the Gothic mode’s resilience and adaptation are the reasons why it has continued to be a presence. Its many facets and permutations allow for the Gothic mode to be a continued source of inspiration within contemporary fashion.
