Dare, Eleanor, 2014, Art or design object, Cities Methodologies, Head on Fire: Burning Down Memory
Abstract or Description: | A joint exhibition which included my film about self-electrocution and my model for a proposed war memorial that sporadically explodes. 'Head on Fire: Burning Down Memory', addresses the idea that our bodies are a material through which time and memory can be articulated. She talks about her attempts to construct embodied memorials to urban trauma, placing images into cycles of destruction and reconfiguration, digitally burnt and restored according to measurable levels of collective and personal anxiety. |
